Dark Age Productions is an organization dedicated to particular interests and goals. We are not just a regular 'label', rather, we are a promotional tool for bands and kults experimenting on the fringes of music. Dark Age Productions works to spread and influence new fields of creativity in the underground realm of music. The individual bands under our sway carry a message and a purpose (not for the sake of trends and/or monetary goals). All our products are customized to the bands needs and to our needs. This customization not only acts in defiance of the stagnacity of mainstream music formats but also makes our releases unique, distinctive, and collectible. As a part of our defiance we have thus rejected any notion of creating or releasing Cd formats within our productive realms. Thus, within our catalogue and lists you will only find cassette and vinyl formats included as mediums of musical communication and expression.

In this modern era we have witnessed the slow and monotonous degradation of world societies. Spirit is lacking in all things around us and in us. Humans now focus only on that which is mundane, trivial, and temporal. Due to the onset of the Industrial Revolution and Cartesian thought systems, humankind has been forced into the bureaucracy of the mass media and has become alienated from most of their creative abilities. Large focus has been placed on material objects and success, whilst these temporal 'gods' now rule our existence in the sunlight world. But the night falls and the blindness and heat of the sun descend to the bowels of the earth to scatter forth the nights children upon the dark woods and skies. These are those who have unleashed their shadowside and their creative spirit.

Look at the modern religious churches which have become nothing but institutions and methodologies lacking substance and spirit. Those with the will to create and the will to evolve inward have been forced into the dark realms of the old religions and pagan ways. For we have entered into a new Dark Age where only the inspired exist in the obscurest corners of the planet. The new dark age is upon us, and it is our duty to promote its growth and strengthen its bonds.

Dark Age Productions is a music promoting agency dedicated to the musicians and fans of what is commonly termed 'dark age' or 'experimental ambiance.' We are not a wealth seeking corporate record company. All funds are re-circulated back into the promotion and growth of our label. We recognize the importance of individual expression and artistic ability. At Dark Age we work closely with our products and our bands in order to weave together creations of splendour and majesty. There is no alienation from the worker and his/her work. Every step of the production process is closely attended to so that we and the bands may take pride in the final products and accomplishments.

The individuals behind our kults are individuals of this new era. The decades have recently spawned forth a new age of philosophers, thinkers, wizards, witches, and warriors. These innovators strive to break conventions, not out of the mere choice to do so, but because their natural expressive outcome results in a lack of conventional standards (the convention of that which is termed 'music'). The kults produced through Dark Age all record their own style of music and express their own unique aesthetic. In their music you shall find their essence and their being. Seek it, become it, and grow in it.
