December Wolves was formed in the early Spring of 1994 with intent to overshadow the ever-growing pile of less than mediocre U.S. bands.
Our original line-up featured Brian I. (bass), Joe (guitar, acoustics), Devon (vocals), Tim (guitar), and Scott (drums). We immediately began writing material and realized soon thereafter that our music would be best conglomerated with keyboards to provide a full atmosphere.
At the beginning of Summer 1994, Brian joined as the keyboardist. We then completed our first three songs that would appear on our "Wolftread cassette". This cassette was recorded in late Autumn of 1994 and was released in February of 1995. Five-hundred copies were pressed and sold within six months. It received excellent reviews world-wide and was acclaimed as one of the best demo cassettes of the year 1995.

In July of '95, we played a successful live performance with Enslaved/Absu and Incantation. Shortly after, Brian departed from the band and Scott took over keyboard duties in the studio.

During the selling of the cassette, we continued to work hard on new material and were offered a few record deals around the Summer time. We received a few contracts, but we felt that none of these deals suited our needs.
Soon enough, Hammerheart Productions of Korea contacted us with interest to record a mini-CD. At first we were reluctant to negotiate with such a newly established label, but after some thought we decided that this would be the best for us and for Hammerheart. Negotiations were made and deals were finalized, so we entered the studio once again in November of '95 to record our first full-length album entitled "'Til Ten Years". This recording consists of several new tracks that are far more advanced than the material on the debut cassette. The album is scheduled to be released in April 1996 and will establish December Wolves as one of the best new bands to emerge in the underground scene.
